You already have a linker script or command file. It came with the development system (kit, launchpad, EVM, etc.) you started on. But now it is time to get everything running on the final production system. Among other things, you need to change the linker script to model the configuration of memory on the production system. This presentation helps you do that by explaining the linker script you have now.
