Since 2012, at least 41 states and countless municipalities have considered enacting autonomous vehicle legislation. For most, creation of the legislation is complex and confusing, in large part because understanding of the technology is still lacking. At Drive, engineers and government officials will examine the state of the autonomous car in this panel discussion. They’ll discuss how the auto industry and governments can work together to craft legislation that keeps drivers and pedestrians safe, while accurately taking into account the real capabilities of self-driving vehicles.
