To realize the benefits of autonomous driving, the industry must be able to show that self-driving technology is truly safe. Through redundancy and diversity of automotive sensors, highly available systems, multiple and overlapping algorithms and high-performance computing, the industry is able to address this challenge. From training AI networks for numerous algorithms, to testing and validating autonomous driving technology in the virtual world as well as in the real-world, to processing and compute inside the vehicle with perception, localization and path planning — this presentation will cover how AI and high-performance computing are enabling the deployment of safe autonomous vehicles.
